Warm Weather Wishing

Ugh. I know I'm not the only one who is completely over this awful weather. After getting a foot of snow last week, I am desperately wanting some warm weather. In the meantime, I'll just make collages of warm weather clothes! I created this look around these sandals because come on. Aren't they amazing? I love how they are both pink and red so I incorporated both of those colors to complete the look! These sandals have been in my shopping cart for quite some time, think its time to pull the trigger?

How are you coping with this cold weather? Have a great Tuesday!

*p.s. I am hosting a loop giveaway on Instagram with some amazing bloggers giving away over $1,000 to Nordstrom and more!

Black & Grey

Michael Kors sweater (old, similar), Loft corduroys, Michael Kors over-the-knee boots (similar), Marc Jacobs handbag, David Yurman ring, Loren Hope necklace

I really don't know what else to say about this outfit besides the fact that its super comfortable and is pretty much my uniform in the colder months. As you can tell, since receiving these over-the-knee boots for Christmas, I have found every excuse to wear them.

My boyfriend and I took these photos last Friday and, although it was cold, nothing compares to the temperatures we have been experiencing! I have been here visiting him since last Thursday and although I had planned on leaving Monday, I am still here snowed in, which is fine by me! I hope you are staying safe and warm in these bitter cold temperatures!

Trench Style

Over the years I have become a super picky shopper. I really have to love a piece of clothing or an accessory and think of multiple ways I can style it before I purchase it. So, you can imagine how long it took me to find a trench coat! Obviously, I think the Burberry one is amazing, but my bank account does not. So, I have been on the hunt for about two years to find the perfect alternative and finally found the one. It looks almost identical, is great quality, and just shy of $150, this thing is a steal!

Be Mine

First off, I would like to give my patient mother a round of applause for taking these photos. Didn't she do a great job? While I won't be wearing this for Valentine's Day this year (we like to go the casual route), I absolutely love getting dressed up. Red is one of my all-time favorite colors to wear because it makes me feel confident and can be worn with any complexion. As for the dress, (as seen here and here on Instagram) I may or may not own it in another color. When you find a dress that is comfortable and flattering for a great price, you can't help but snatch up multiples!

For Valentine's Day this year, I am driving to Blacksburg today to visit my boyfriend for a long weekend. While I love Valentine's Day, I like to forgo the gifts because I would much rather make the day about us and cherishing every moment together! Another tradition we have been keeping up with is not going somewhere super fancy. Last year it was fish tacos and this year its cheeseburgers! Oh, a man after my own heart, let me tell you...

Whether you're celebrating with someone special or with friends or family, I hope you have an amazing weekend filled with lots of love (and chocolate!).

Winter Neutrals

Happy Tuesday, friends! I am super excited for this week because on Thursday I am driving down to Virginia Tech to spend a long weekend with my boyfriend! I've only been in the "real world" (as real as it gets when you're living at home) for about a month and I am seriously missing college and all of my friends still there. It has actually been an awesome transition home, though. I have reconnected with some great high school friends and its been really fun to experience this big transitional point in our lives together! Any recent college grads with good tips about moving back home?

P.S. does something about this outfit look familiar? Yep, you saw it in last Friday's post! I love how you can keep the base of an outfit the same yet use different pieces to create an entire new look!

Barbour & Burberry

This outfit showcases two of my most loved items in my closet: my Barbour Jacket and my Burberry rain boots. A Barbour jacket is such a an iconic, classic piece of clothing that is 100% worth the investment. For my junior and senior years of college, this was the only coat I had at school. Even in the dead of winter (it gets to below zero on some mornings) this jacket would still keep me nice and warm and I love the fact that the material looks even better after years of wear.

Another staple piece in my wardrobe have been these Burberry boots and let me tell you, they were the best impulse purchase I have ever made. I spotted them one day on Rue La La and next thing I knew I was pulling out my credit card. How does that always happen?

What are some of your most loved items in your closet? Have a wonderful day!

Little Red Bag

Andrew Marc coat (old, similar, similar), Ann Taylor turtleneck, Jolt skinny pants, Michael Kors over-the-knee boots (similar), Marc Jacobs handbag, Baublebar earrings, David Yurman Ring

Hooray for being halfway through the week! This little red bag is one that I treated myself to after Christmas. I had been wanting this one for forever, but with my bank account, that just wasn't happening. When I saw this, though, I thought it was the perfect compromise! Not to mention a fraction of the cost. A purchase like this just shows that you can invest in nice accessories, but you don't have to go into debt to get them!

Casual Silk Blouse

LOFT blouse, Madewell denim, Michael Kors over-the-knee boots (similar, splurge), Marc Jacobs handbag, Forever 21 hat, Rocksbox bracelet (use code 'laurenxoxo6' for your first month FREE!)

Happy Monday, everyone! As you can tell, I am still getting used to the manual mode on my camera.  I had just adjusted my settings when it started snowing really hard, so I am sure that really threw everything off. Although these photos are a prime example of a swing and a miss, it is such a fun challenge and a great new hobby for me!

Anyway, this is probably one of my favorite outfits to wear. Something comfortable yet completely put-together. Unfortunately you can't tell from the photos, but this blouse is the most gorgeous color. Its a grayish purple and oh so soft. I got it for Christmas and have already worn it multiple times! I think it would look amazing tucked into a white lace pencil skirt (when the weather finally decides to deem those pieces appropriate, that is).
