Bell Sleeve Dress

H&M dress (only $35!!), Michael Kors boots (old, similar)

Here is another look from NYFW that was way too cold to shoot while I was there! I wore this dress on day two for shows and tea at The Plaza with my grandmother's fur coat (shown here) I absolutely adore the retro vibe of this little number, and the bell sleeves are just way too fun. I could not believe all of the compliments I have gotten on this dress too. One woman even asked "who are you wearing?" And when I told her it was only $35 she couldn't believe it!

Laduree Lunch

*Photos by Kristyn
Zara coat (old, similar), Ann Taylor sweater, Frame denim (seriously lived in these all weekend!), Vince Camuto booties (old, similar), Prada handbag, Daniel Wellington watch (use code LMIDD14 for 15% off!)

Greetings from Paris! Jk :) we took these photos the first day in NYC for Fashion week at Laduree in Soho while we were there for lunch. It is the most charming little spot for a bite to eat, glass of rose, and of course sweet treats! I had never had a macaron before so it was quite a big moment for me. They were (obviously) delicious! However, I am still partial to my brownie sundaes :)

I am going to be doing a full NYFW recap for you guys soon so stay tuned!

All Wrapped Up

Shein sweater c/o, Frame denim (my favorite!) Marc Fisher booties (similar), Express belt, Daniel Wellington watch (use code LMIDD14 for 15% off!), Forever 21 hat

During this time of year, I love wrapping up in sweaters and cardigans, but they can often look shapeless or unflattering if worn incorrectly. one of my favorite ways to bring more structure to an otherwise casual cardigan is to belt it. I found this belt from Express and it was just too fun to pass up. I wore this outfit on my last day in NYC and it was the perfect travel outfit.

Happy Monday! I spent the entire weekend creating content for the blog and I cannot wait to share it all with you!

Rent the Runway D.C. to NYC

*Photos by Jenn

Wow! Fashion Week was such a whirlwind and I cannot wait to catch you up on it. But I had to share this amazing look by Rent the Runway first. Obviously going to Fashion Week I wanted to focus on creating great outfits, but between hotel, food and cab faire, things get expensive! So I always rely on Rent the Runway to help me look amazing and not feel guilty about the price tag.

A few days before our trip, my girls and I went to the Rent The Runway store in Georgetown to pick out some things for our trip to NYC. We had so much fun picking out our dresses together and trying things on--the ultimate girls night!

The whole process could not have been easier. We each picked out our looks, had the dresses delivered to our hotel, and gave them right back to the front desk to be shipped back to the store once we were done with them. With all of the stress and planning surrounding Fashion Week, it was so nice having one thing that I didn't have to worry about or stress over!

Thanks so much for stopping by!

P.S. funny story, we shot these photos on the coldest day of our trip. It was actually one degrees outside! So crazy! Jenn was a trooper for shooting me, and we would have to run back inside every few minutes to thaw and I definitely got some crazy looks. But it was completely worth it :)

*Thank you to Rent The Runway for sponsoring this post. All opinions are my own.

Check out Laura, Jenn, and Kristyn's outfits and posts!

This is a much longer and more vulnerable post than usual, but here we go. When I started my blog, I was super self-conscious and worried constantly what others would think about it. I really wanted a hobby and a creative outlet, but most importantly, I wanted the community that I noticed was forming back when I first started posting my #ootd's on Instagram. What I didn't know was that this little space on the internet would introduce me to some of my very best friends. Girls that I feel like I have known my whole life, can talk for hours on end about anything, and will be close friends for life because we share this one special (albeit, unorthodox) "hobby" aka my part-time job that is blogging.

We decided a few months ago that we all wanted to go to New York Fashion Week. An experience that none of us have had before but has always been a goal. And it is finally happening! I am so excited to be traveling to the Big Apple next week with some of my closest friends to experience this amazing and fast-paced week of fashion.

If you had told me a year ago that I would be having this opportunity, and that I would have met these girls, I would have told you that you were lying. Moral to the story here is if you want to pursue something, do it. Even if you think that people will judge you for it. Because honestly, that is a reflection of them, not you. Blogging has been such an amazing, unique and fulfilling experience and I wouldn't change it for the world.

Cheers to friendships and once-in-a-lifetime experiences! I'll be posting about my experience as well as lots of outfits, so stay tuned! And be sure to follow me on Snapchat (@lmidd14) for a behind-the-scenes look!

Thanks so much for stopping by!
