White Out

As soon as the weather turns warm, I find myself reaching for everything white. I've never been fond of "fashion rules" so I embrace wearing white nearly year-round. I wore this crisp and breezy ensemble to my school's spring game and it was perfect for a day of tailgating with friends and watching a little bit of football! I love wearing white on white because it always looks so effortless and chic.

I hope you all had as fun of a weekend as I did! Shop my look and a few other lacy white pieces I'm loving:

white short suit

J.Crew cami | American Eagle blazer (old, similar) | J.Crew chinos | GiGi New York clutch | Jack Rogers navajos

Now that the weather is finally starting to warm up around here, I find myself constantly reaching for the white pieces in my wardrobe. I'm a little embarrassed to admit it, but I have had that blazer probably since 2007...it sure does pay to hold onto things! I love wearing it in the summer with shorts or over a floral dress.

Now onto the main attraction...this GiGi New York clutch is EVERYTHING. I am pretty surprised that this is the first clutch I have ever owned. If I ever needed one, I usually just clip off the straps of a cross body and I'm good to go. However, I was taken by this lovely magenta (or radiant orchid, you Pantone lovers) and I am very surprised how easy it is for me to pair it with things in my closet! For such a bold color, it has proven to be very neutral. Now...which one should I get next ;)

Wednesday Inspiration

My goodness, this week feels like it has been dragging on forever! I was not expecting these April showers to bring back the cold and SNOW FLURRIES. Not okay. Last night I was procrastinating homework feeling down about the weather and decided to scroll through Pinterest (as usual) for a little mid-week pick me up.

If you know anything about me, you know that Pinterest is one of my absolute favorite websites (trust me, the number of pins I have can prove it and it's a little shameful). I like to think of it as a tiny escape from reality where I can totally relax and daydream. I love drooling over yummy and complicated recipes, the fabulous clothes I will never own, and pinning workouts that I will most likely never do...just me?

Make sure to follow me on Pinterest here to see what I've been pinning and loving! Hint, its a lot of flowers and puppies.

Happy Wednesday, everyone!

Lauren

Tweed Jacket

In my opinion, a tweed jacket is something every girl should have in her closet. They are so versatile and can be dressed up or down for the right occasion. I also purchased the matching skirt for interviews (ahh!) but think that these skinny pants make it a fun look that is work appropriate but can easily be transitioned into night. The shell underneath is so silky and flow-y which is perfect to wear on its own now that the weather is starting to warm up...and its on sale!

I hope that you are enjoying the nice weather like I am. Have a great day!

Bows & Big Bags

Loft tank | Anthropologie sweater (old) | Marc Jacobs bag | Jolt jeggings | Tory Burch boots (old, similar)

This is the last outfit from New York :( we spent our last few hours by Lincoln Center. I was daydreaming about NYFW the entire time I was there! (seriously, though). I also wore this on the bus ride home and it was the perfect, comfortable traveling outfit.

I am a sucker for cute, flow-y tank tops and this one immediately drew me in. I love the bow detail on the front and cannot wait to pair it with shorts when the weather warms up! This Anthropologie sweater is one of my all-time favorites. It is one of those pieces that I wish I had gotten in every color, so I am hoping they will have a variation of it next fall. I have had this Marc Jacobs bag for a few years and the cost-per-wear is basically pennies now. The size is perfect for traveling because I had my giant wallet, sunglass case, and my dad's DSLR in there and there was still room...its great.
